International round table "Development of integration within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union for citizens of the member States"

    On November 17, the Russian-Armenian University hosted an international round table "Development of integration within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union for citizens of the member States", organized by the Department of Tourism and Services of the Institute of Economics and Business of the RAU jointly with the Eurasian Economic Commission.

       The participants of the round table were welcomed by the Rector of RAU, Professor Armen Darbinyan and the Minister of Economy of RA Vahan Kerobyan. Professor Darbinyan emphasized the importance of holding this discussion within the walls of the Russian-Armenian University. The Vice-Rector of the RAU, Professor Parkev Avetisyan and the Director of the Institute of Economics and Business of the RAU, Professor Edward Sandoyan also spoke with words of greeting.
       The moderator of the round table was the head of the Department of Tourism and Services of RAU, Associate Professor Tigran Davtyan.
       The international round table brought together leading experts from the EEC and the EAEU member states. Speakers and guests of the event discussed a number of key issues in the field of integration processes, focusing in more detail on the fields of tourism and education.
       "For Armenia, which has designated tourism as one of the priority areas of economic development, meetings of this level, with the participation of professionals of this level, are very important. We need to understand integration opportunities, potential, as well as problems in the field of tourism," said Tigran Davtyan, Head of the Department of Tourism and Services of RAU.
       In her speech, Director of the EEC Integration Department Gohar Barseghyan presented the "Strategic Directions for the Development of Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025" published last year as a tool for unlocking the potential of the EAEU, and Director of the EEC Business Development Department Galiya Dzholdybayeva reviewed integration processes in the field of tourism.
       It should be noted that the panelists of the discussion were also the Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia, representatives of the Department of Eurasian Integration of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Economy of Belarus, representatives of the faculty of the RAU, etc.
