About
Tigran Sargsyan was born on November 8, 1983 in Yerevan.
In 2004, he has obtained Bachelor's degree at honor at the Faculty of Geography, Yerevan State University (YSU), and the Master's degree from the same faculty in 2006.
From 2006 to 2009 he was a PhD student at the Department of Socio-Economic Geography of Yerevan State University. In 2010, he defended his PhD theis and received the academic degree of Candidate of Geographical Sciences. He is Associate Professor specialty: "Geography") since 2014.
As part of various international programs and scholarships for academic exchange, he taught and conducted scientific research at a number of universities in the USA, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Hungary, etc. He also conducts trainings for tourist guides on “Geography of Armenia” module. Dr. Sargsyan completed a number of advanced training courses, including interactive teaching methods at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium)
Since 2009 he has been teaching at the Faculty of Geography and Geology of Yerevan State University, holding the position of Associate Professor at the Department of Service and at the Department of Public Administration.
From 2014 to the present, he has been teaching at the Russian-Armenian University, holding the position of Associate Professor of the Chair of Tourism and Services.
