Brief Biography
Born on November 24, 1972, in Yerevan.
Citizen of the Republic of Armenia, Armenian by nationality.
Graduated from Yerevan Polytechnic Institute in 1995.
Received the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences in 2021.
Teaches at the Department of Management and Business at the Institute of Economics and Business, Russian-Armenian University.
M. Soghomonyan has extensive experience in public service, totaling 23 years, during which he held various high-level state positions, ranging from Head of Department to Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia.
He is the author of seven published scientific works addressing issues in the state regulation of natural monopolies.
He is also the author of a monograph and is the only person in the Republic of Armenia who has defended a dissertation on the topic of state regulation of natural monopolies, providing a scientific rationale for the need to implement state regulation as a primary mechanism for managing natural monopolies.
