Brief information (biography)
Born on April 25, 1949 in Yerevan, Republic of Armenia.
In 1966 graduated from the general education school №55 after A.P Chekhov in Yerevan.
In 1967 entered the Faculty of Economics (specialty «Industrial Planning») at the Yerevan State University at. During the years of study at the university was a member of the Student Scientific Society, made presentations at student conferences. In 1972, after graduation, took her postgraduate studies the Institute of Economics of the Academy of Sciences of the Armenian USSR. From January 1976 to 2005, worked at the Institute of Economics: first as a junior research assistant, then as a scientific and senior research fellow. In October 1988 defended her PhD thesis on «Improving the organic structure of production in the conditions of scientific and technological progress». Was awarded the degree of PhD in Economics in May 1989 by the Supreme Certification Commission (HAC) of the USSR (Moscow).
Since 1998 taught economic disciplines in various Armenian universities.
From 1999 to the present, holds the position of Associate Professor at the Department of Economic Theory and the Issues of Transition Period Economies.
Married, has two daughters.
