Brief Biography
Sargsyan S.S. was born on May 26, 1961, in Stepanakert, Artsakh.
Education:
- 1983-1988: Diploma in "Social Sciences and History" from Stepanakert Pedagogical Institute.
- 2007-2010: Candidate for the degree in "Economics and Management" at Artsakh State University.
Work Experience:
- From May 1985 to February 1991: Director of the "Karabakh" hotel in Stepanakert.
- In February 1991, he joined the national liberation movement for the defense of Artsakh as a member of the 1st company (Bekor) and was wounded twice.
- From September 1992, he served as a reconnaissance platoon commander in the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army, retiring with the rank of Major in 2005.
- In 2006, he started working in the Ministry of Economy and Territorial Development of the NKR as a chief tourism specialist, and from 2012 until his deportation in 2023, he held the position of Head of the Department of Tourism Infrastructure, Programs, and Development at the Ministry of Economy of Artsakh.
- From September 2006 to 2023, he was a Senior Lecturer at Artsakh State University in the Department of Economics.
