Brief Biography
Born on April 10, 1959, in Moscow, USSR. In 1981, graduated from the G.V. Plekhanov Moscow Institute of National Economy with a degree in Economics. From 1985 to 1989, completed postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Economics of Lomonosov Moscow State University. In 1993 and 1994, studied at the Summer School of the University of Tübingen (Tübingen, Germany). In 1996 and 1997, undertook internships at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University (Paris, France).In 2001 and 2002, completed research fellowships at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University (Paris, France), Humboldt University, and the Free University of Berlin (Berlin, Germany).In 2002, studied at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies (Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany).From 1981 to 1990, worked at the All-Russian Research Institute of Trade Economics and Management Systems (VNIIETsystems), holding positions as economist, senior engineer, junior researcher, and researcher.Since 1991, has been affiliated with the Faculty of Economics of Lomonosov Moscow State University, where he has held the positions of senior researcher, senior lecturer, associate professor, and professor. In 1999, was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Economics. In 2004, was awarded the academic title of Professor.
